With a view to promoting the health of the people and the education of nutrition, the department provides more comfortable and considerate outpatient nutrition health education for the patients with chronic diseases, to impel them to return to the hospital for follow-up therapy and achieve the effect of early prevention and treatment.

Scope of consultation: Balanced diet for weight control, diabetics, kidney disease diets, calculus diets, nutritional care for gastrointestinal bleeding, gout diets, hypertension and hyperlipidemia diets, heart disease diets, child nutrition, weight control diets for obese children, consultation on infant non-staple food additives,   nutritional care for congenital heart disease and preterm infants, tube feeding diet counseling, and postoperative nutritional care and malnutrition consultation.

The department's outpatient clinic offers patients nutrition counseling services for diabetics, including gestational diabetes. Diabetes health education and nutrition consultation clinic provides diabetes health education services targeting patients with diabetes and their families, as well as high-risk groups of patients for metabolic syndrome.
