Dr. Chen specializes in neuromodulation therapies—transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), MR-guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS), and botulinum toxin—for conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, stroke, and dementia. The team leads the clinical application and academic development of MRgFUS for movement disorders, particularly Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor. We pioneered a stepwise dual-target strategy (PTT + VIM) to treat both tremor and rigidity with high precision and minimal invasiveness. Our research explores brain stimulation mechanisms, multimodal neuroimaging, and outcomes of non-invasive therapies. The team actively engages in international clinical trials and collaborations.

Kuan-Fei Chen

Attending Physician

Dr. Chen is an attending physician in the Dementia and General Neurology Section of the Department of Neurology at China Medical University Hospital, specializing in comprehensive care for dementia patients.

TU MIN-CHIEN

Dr. Tu Min-Chien is an attending physician in the Department of Neurology at China Medical University Hospital. He holds a Ph.D. from the Institute of Biomedical Electronics and Bioinformatics, College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, National Taiwan University. Dr. Tu provides long-term care for dementia patients and is a dementia specialist recommended by the Taiwan Dementia Society. His research areas include higher-level cognitive function and quantitative brain magnetic resonance imaging.

Chun-Hui Liao

Attending Physician

Dr. Liao has expertise in both psychiatry and internal medicine, with extensive experience in treating general psychiatric disorders. She is also involved in psychotherapy, addiction treatment, and the assessment and management of autonomic nervous system dysfunction. Additionally, she is an active member of the geriatric medical team, providing care for patients with dementia, depression, and anxiety disorders.

Yang-An Chuang

Director of the Acute Care Unit

Dr. Chuang currently serves as the Director of the Acute Care Unit. He specializes in rTMS, dementia/neurodegenerative diseases, and psychopharmacology.

Mu-Chun Lin

General psychiatry, insomnia, anxiety and autonomic nervous system disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and more.

Fang-Huei Huang

Attending Physician

Dr. Huang is a senior physician at our hospital, having previously served as the Director of the Acute Care Unit. Her specialties include Jungian-oriented psychotherapy (counseling), general psychiatry, psychosomatic medicine, women's psychosomatic medicine, psycho-oncology, and community psychiatry. She is currently pursuing further education in the Master’s Program for Analytical Psychology at Shih Chien University.
